Cursed from birth by his parents’ sacrifice, Moró has spent his life as an outcast. Shunned by his late mother’s tribe, his adoptive siblings see the man, not an omen.

When his beloved half-sister, Bimorí, vanishes on the eve of a sacred ceremony, the tribal elders forbid a search.

He and his adoptive siblings defy their tribe’s elders, and venture beyond the safety of their canyons to find her.

Their relentless search leads them into the path of a new, ruthless enemy: the Tercio de Cordoba, a group of Spanish Conquistadors determined to extract silver and slaves from the land.

With the help of a fierce Zacatecatl warrior, Moró learns of Bimorí’s capture. But this knowledge comes with a paralyzing choice. The Tercio de Cordoba is marching towards their tribe, and an attack is imminent.

Moró must decide: attempt a suicidal rescue mission against a fortified Spanish Conquistador army, or abandon his sister to warn the tribe of the coming invasion.
