Book a Call
The experience indie bookstores create for their patrons is at the heart of long-term sustainability and growth.
Readers are Aspiring Writers
Most of the readers in your shop want to write. Many of these readers may have already told you at checkout or during a search for a How to Write reference book. Yet, formal education pathways to the literary world are expensive, highly selective, and potentially out of reach for so many aspiring writers.
No Gatekeepers in the Room
A bookshop that opens its space to a free, professionally led workshop becomes the starting point for writers determined to fulfill a dream. No tuition, no application, no prerequisites. Just a room, an instructor, and a group of writers ready to tell their stories. A community that starts with the people, the conversations, and the space where writers at any stage are welcome to learn.
Collegiate Instruction in Your Shop
Gabriel leads each workshop with the dedication and passion required to build a career from storytelling. He holds a degree in Professional and Creative Writing from Central Washington Univeristy, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude and earned an additional certification in Cultural Studies in Literary Criticism. He is a published novelist, poet, and literary critic who specializes in Culture Theory with an emphasis on cultural representation and identity. This combination of disciplines is rare outside of a university faculty and typically inaccessible without enrollment.
He brings with him the depth and rigor of formal literary education, integrating his expertise into workshops spanning world-building, accurate representation in characters, cultural narrative, and the complexities of power within institutions in fictional worlds. His novel Feed the Gods serves as an applied case study throughout each session.
